BASW Cymru National Director Allison Hulmes, joined hundreds of marchers in Cardiff yesterday, in support of the Kurdish strikers world-wide, and Imam Sis in particular.
BASW Cymru’s 9th Social Work Awards were held on the 20th March at the Iconic Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay. The awards were sponsored by Leanne Wood, AM for the Rhondda and was attended by several Assembly Members, including Julie Morgan, Deputy Minister for Social Services.
The government wants to know how we can make sure that health and social care staff have the right training to understand the needs of people with a learning disability and/or autism – this consultation includes social workers.
Over 100 social workers, academics and service users attended BASW’s celebratory event to mark World Social Work Day in London yesterday, as keynote speakers explored the official theme of ‘human relationships’ and workshops gave voice to service users.
