With the green paper on adult social care continuing to be delayed, and with Brexit confounded matters further, this new inquiry into the future of social care couldn’t be better timed.

Last night’s Panorama expose of violent and abusive practices by staff on adults with learning difficulties and autistic adults at Whorlton Hall in County Durham was shocking and horrific.
BASW urges everyone who can to exercise their most basic democratic right on Thursday 23rd May and to help those who might struggle to access polling stations or party literature.
