The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact on residents and staff who live and work in care homes, resulting in a significant number of deaths of the elderly and care staff.

For social workers to do their work efficiently and compassionately during the coronavirus pandemic they must be safe, we therefore look forward to receiving guidance on PPE, followed by the necessary equipment.
BASW opened up a survey for social workers to provide feedback on their experiences of working during the coronavirus pandemic. To date more than 1,200 social workers have provided feedback on their experiences and concerns, as well as best practice. This provides an overview of the findings and the actions BASW is taking.
